Easy Ballerina Slippers

These are really simple...and after a garter stitch scarf they were my first project!
Voila, a cute slipper. I decorate with little flowers etc.

You pick a stitch you want to use, then knit a small sample to get your gauge right. Then cast the right number of stitches to measure from one ankle to your other. Knit the project the length of your foot.

Then the hard part! You will need to knit two stitches together for two rows. Drawstring the end together and stitch up to create the toe part of your slipper. I don't do any stitching up of the slipper until both are knit so I can use one to measure against the other. (Maybe do this, especially if you are like me and are VERY lazy about counting stitches as its easier to match them up to make sure they are the same length!)

Stitch up the toe part to make the front and then stitch up the back of the slipper! Then structure by threading yard around the opening of your slipper and if they are a present leave this tied but only in a bow so the person can fit them to their own feet.
